Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all our Staff, Children and Parents. We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are now refreshed for the new year. We will have lots going on this year at the nursery, so keep checking back for updates!

Weather Update!

December 2010
For the second time this year, the snow has descended on our doorstep, but we do remain open!
However, we are politely asking that parents collecting later on this evening, allow extra travelling time due to the weather and ensure they are at the nursery by 5.45pm at the latest.
We would like to say a massive 'Thank You' to Jon Turner, who has done an excellent job at keeping our Car-Park clear from Ice and Snow over the past few days. It's probably the least slippery surface in the whole of Gloucestershire!

Into Play Children Record for Blind Listeners

On Tuesday 7th December some children from Into Play recorded Christmas messages to be included on a talking newspaper for the blind across Gloucestershire. 'The Cotswold Listener' is a registered charity that provides the weekly newspaper which is sent to subscribers on CD's. A photographer from the Citizen came along to take photos. ***REMINDER****.........Individual/Group photographs being taken next Wednesday 23rd June 2010 from 9.30am. If your child does not attend this day please speak to your childs Key-Person who will arrange a suitable time for you to bring your child in to be photographed.

Scores On The Doors

Last Tuesday (25th May 2010) we received an unannounced visit from the Environmental Health from Gloucestershire County Council, as we do every year in order to regulate all aspects of our Kitchen Hygiene Procedures and Standards.

We are very pleased to announce that we received a full 5/5 stars for the 5th year running!

SPORT RELIEF TOTAL

April 2010
Congratulations to all those children who took part in the Goal-Kicking Event for Sport Relief.
We are very pleased to announce we raised a grand total of £317.00!!!

Sport Relief

March 2010
In order to support Sport Relief 2010, Into-Play are holding a 'Goal-Kicking Competition', starting Tuesday 23rd March and finishing on Thursday 25th March. We ask that all sponsor money is put in an envelope with your child's name clearly stated on it. Each child will be provided with a sticker stating how many goals they scored.......and there will be a special prize for the top-scorer in each room!!

Key person

We operate a 'Key Person' system within our nursery.

A Key Person is a named member of staff who has special responsibilities for working with a small number of children, giving them the reassurance to feel safe and cared for.

On a day-to-day basis, they support their key-childrens' learning & development and act as a key point of contact with the child’s parent/s or carers.

The Key Person plays an essential role in supporting the emotional well-being of the children in their care.
